Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Forest Hills Team Behind DryMark Restoration Forest Hills
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or when mold has turned a closet into a problem. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and insured before they ever pulled into a Forest Hills driveway. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that each of us has been on the other side of a bad restoration job, and we refuse to be that story for anyone else.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, watching homeowners lose thousands because a restoration crew forgot to photograph the water line or wrote a scope in language an adjuster couldn’t pay. That documentation gap became the company. I’m still on-site for the complex jobs, the ones where three rooms are affected and the insurance question hasn’t been answered yet. I keep a moisture meter in my truck because I don’t trust anyone else’s numbers until I’ve taken my own. On weekends you’ll find me at the Forest Hills Greenmarket arguing over the price of tomatoes with the same energy I bring to a disputed line item.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been drying buildings for fourteen years, starting with a flooded basement in his own aunt’s house in Jamaica Estates that five other companies couldn’t fix. He holds IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician and Applied Structural Drying certifications, and he’s the person we send when a job requires Injectidry hardwood floor drying or a complex crawl-space dehumidification setup. Marcus documents every reading with a photo and a timestamp, not because it’s policy, but because he’s seen too many good claims denied for bad paperwork. He coaches youth basketball at the Forest Hills Community Center and applies the same patience to explaining psychrometric data to anxious homeowners.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena joined us in 2019 after running her own small carpentry crew in Rego Park, and she brought a remodeler’s eye to reconstruction that most restoration companies simply don’t have. She specializes in matching existing finishes, whether that’s pre-war plaster in a Forest Hills Gardens Tudor or the oak flooring common in the mid-century co-ops along Yellowstone Boulevard. Her reconstructions pass inspection the first time, which matters when a family is waiting to move back in. Elena keeps a notebook of paint formulas and wood stains she’s matched, organized by neighborhood and building era. She’ll notice your baseboard is 3/4-inch colonial, not 5/8, before she’s through the door.
David K., Service Coordinator
David answers the phones that ring at 2 a.m. when a pipe bursts on the fourth floor of a Forest Hills co-op and the super doesn’t know which valve shuts off which line. He’s been with us since 2017 and has the building profiles for most of the larger co-ops and condos in Forest Hills memorized, including which management companies require pre-authorization for after-hours entry. David coordinates with insurance adjusters, building managers, and our crews simultaneously, and he’s the reason we can promise a live person every call without voicemail trees. He grew up in Forest Hills, graduated from Forest Hills High School, and still lives three blocks from the Austin Street strip. He knows which buildings have the old galvanized plumbing and which have been repiped, and he uses that knowledge to prepare our crews before they arrive.
Jin P., Apprentice Technician
Jin came to us in 2023 through a workforce development program after leaving a career in restaurant management, and she’s completing her IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician certification while working full-time in the field. She already runs the initial moisture mapping on standard residential jobs and has developed a particular skill with thermal imaging cameras, spotting temperature differentials that indicate hidden water migration behind tile and stone. Jin asks more questions than anyone on the team, which we encourage. Her first language is Mandarin, and she’s been an asset on jobs in Forest Hills’ growing Chinese-American community where clear communication during a crisis matters as much as technical skill. She lives in Elmhurst and takes the Q23 to most jobs.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard applies to every person on this page, whether they’ve been here fourteen years or fourteen months. Haven Standard, Clause 1: a written price before any work starts, every time, with no exceptions. That means Marcus doesn’t set a dehumidifier until the homeowner has the scope in hand. Elena doesn’t remove a single compromised stud without a signed agreement. David won’t dispatch a crew to an after-hours emergency without confirming the pricing framework first.
Every visit produces a documented photo record, included as standard, never an upsell. Daily moisture logs are recorded to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards using equipment from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry. The 365-Day Done Right Promise, stamped and signed on every job, means if we miss something, we make it right. Not because it’s marketing copy. Because it’s the standard we agreed to when we joined this company.
We’re independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard. No corporate parent decides our pricing or our priorities. Alicia does. And she’s the one who answers when something goes wrong.
